Classic donates to Cornwall Search dogs
In the newsCornwall Search Dogs was founded in 2020, and we are delighted to support the vital work they undertake in Cornwall.
A £500 donation has been made by Classic Cottages to support Cornwall Search Dogs which was set up by former members of mountain and lowland rescue teams and police dog handlers. They use their expertise in search techniques and dog training to find missing people and animals across the region, responding to approximately 60 callouts each year.

Search dogs, their owners and team members are spread across Cornwall to ensure the whole county is covered. Six dogs are currently operational with three are in training and the charity are always on the lookout to recruit and train more.
The Classic donation will help to fund vital aspects of the charities work including professional training, providing each team member with a thermal imaging camera and raising public awareness.

Recent support includes finding two Jack Russell's who were trapped in a rabbit warren and locating a family pet by tracing its scent from the owner’s vehicle.
Tracy Simpson, a founder member of the team who works with her two spaniels, Holly and Freda said “This donation is fabulous. As handlers we all give our time for free, and we are so very grateful”.
