Cottages on the Isle of Man

Cottages on the Isle of Man

Located in the Irish Sea, at the heart of the British Isles, stay somewhere rather unique with a holiday cottage escape to the Isle of Man. Brimming with beautiful landscapes, 26 Dark Sky Sites, a unique heritage, and the only nation to be designated a UNESCO Biosphere, the Isle of Man really is a special place. Lean into a slower pace of life, from scenic walks and blissful beach days, wildlife watching (including a variety of birds, dolphins, whales, and even basking sharks!), visiting castles, exploring glens, and taking a trip on one of the Island’s railways, whether that’s the Steam Railway, the Manx Electric Railway, or the Snaefell Mountain Railway.

Motorsports fans will love the iconic TT Races held on the Isle of Man every May and June, where racers compete on the 37.73-mile ‘Mountain Course’. And even those who aren’t motorsport fans will enjoy soaking up the atmosphere!

Holidays on the Isle of Man

The Northern Lights over Peel Castle

Discover the charms of Island life with a holiday on the Isle of Man. With its spectacular scenery, glorious beaches, and walking and mountain biking opportunities, this is a true celebration of the great outdoors - and a blissfully slow way of life.

Beaches on the Isle of Man

A sandy beach on the Isle of Man

From sheltered, sun-drenched coves to wide, sandy beaches, the Isle of Man promises plenty of places to get your beach fix. Some Island favourites include the dog-friendly Kirk Michael Beach, Niarbyl Beach, and Fenella Beach, alongside Port Erin and Laxey Beach.

Things to do on the Isle of Man

Paddleboarding on the Isle of Man

Where do we start?! From walking a section of the Raad ny Foillan coast path, which circles the entire Isle of Man coastline, stargazing in one of the 26 Dark Sky Sites, and exploring the Island’s glens and waterfalls to heading out on a boat trip to see basking sharks or watching the TT Races, there’s so much to see and do on your Isle of Man holiday.

Places to eat on the Isle of Man

A cafe with a view of The Calf of Man

Focusing on fresh and local produce, there is a fantastic selection of restaurants, pubs, and cafés across the Isle of Man. Pick up a fresh loaf at Noa Bakehouse in Douglas, stop off for ice cream at Davison’s Ice Cream Parlour in Peel, and admire the special views across to the Calf of Man alongside a delicious lunch at The Sound Café. If you fancy some fresh seafood, The Little Fish Café in Douglas and The Boatyard Restaurant in Peel are both highly recommended (alongside many others!). Don’t miss out on trying Manx queenies (small scallops) and Manx kippers while you’re visiting!
