You can't beat a sea view in the South West. And when you book a sea view holiday cottage you can enjoy the panorama all week from the comfort and luxury of a Classic Cottage. After all, 'the sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever' (Jacques Yves Cousteau). There's a real sense of wonderment as you gaze at a sparkly blue horizon, a sense of inferiority to Mother Nature and the vast power of the ocean. A lungful of salty sea air can cure any ill but even sitting in a window on a dark stormy night brings a thrill to uplift your spirit.
Cornwall is known for its many beaches and miles of coastpath so you're always assured of a good view with a sea view cottage, whether it be perched on a clifftop or clustered around a harbour. Even the cornish moorland cottages can have sea views, with a rural cottage looking out over the unspoilt countryside, dotted with mining heritage, to the sea.
Devon is the largest West Country county but is top and tailed by the north and south coast. A north Devon sea view cottage will have superb views out over rugged coastlines whereas a south Devon cottage with sea views takes in the calm flatness of the south coast.
