Buxted Park is a dog friendly area near to the village and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest famous for its herd of deer and exotic birds. Oast Farm is well worth a visit, with a farm shop and cafe boasting local and seasonal produce, with the option to pick your own fruit should you wish to! And why not stop for a pub lunch at either the White Hart or the Buxted Inn following a morning stroll across Winnie the Pooh’s bridge at Ashdown Forest?
Buxted is the ideal base for a Sussex day out, as you’re only a thirty-minute drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells and with a direct transport link to London. Or if you want to stay close by, you can venture to Pevensey Bay Beach or set out on the gentle four-mile circular Buxted Walk.
