It's the smallest town in Devon but manages to squeeze in three pubs, an arts festival and regular market days as well as a meet of Walruses on New Year's Day...Just don't get too close or you may have to jump in the River Lew with them!
Take yourself off along the Tarka Trail or hike your way up to Belvedere Castle for panoramic views and count twelve church spires. The nearest big town is Okehampton on the edge of Dartmoor or follow the north road through Great Torrington to Westward Ho!.
