DoubleA short drive from Woolacombe Beach in stunning north Devon you'll find Skylark, a beautiful dog-friendly three-bedroom holiday home boasting a hot tub.
The heart of the home is a social and spacious open plan kitchen dining and living space, which is bathed in natural light thanks to the double height windows. From here you can see out into the lush garden.
The lounge area features a sage green armchair and two roomy deep sea blue sofas which overlook the verdant garden beyond. These are perfect for sinking into after a day spent splashing in the waves at Woolacombe. Why not turn on the flatscreen TV and indulge in a film on Freeview, or sign into your Netflix or Prime Video accounts and relax with your latest shows? Adjacent is the dining-table and tucked behind the living and dining space is the cleverly designed kitchen, with its stylish cream gloss units and rustic wooden worktops. The built-in appliances include a dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave, so whipping up holiday meals is a doddle.
Skylark has three bedrooms, each decorated in a peaceful muted palette with tasteful coastal decorative touches. You'll find the first two, a double and a twin, on the ground floor. No arguing over who gets the en suite, they both have one! Then head up the stairs to the principal bedroom and family bathroom.
Outdoors, a generous and enclosed garden offers a dreamy backdrop for a soak in the hot tub. Don your swimsuit come sunset o' clock and enjoy a glass of something delicious while you let the bubbles unwind you after a day exploring the very best of north Devon. Or hop in after the children's bedtime and enjoy stargazing from the hot tub - a holiday moment to remember forever.
The garden also features a patio with seating, loungers and a charcoal barbecue ideal for easy breezy sunny dinners. With a secure boundary and large expanse of lawn, the garden is ideal for kids and dogs to play in safely.
And if you'd like to return from your holiday without endless chores, pop into the garage just off the entrance hallway and run your holiday washing through the washing machine and tumble-drier. This is also a great spot for storing any bulkier items, like surfboards, while you're on holiday.
Outside you'll also find parking for two cars, an outside shower and wetsuit hanging rail. And if you're arriving by electric car, there's EV charging available too.
If it's a seaside holiday with all the trimmings you're looking for, you can stop the search, Woolacombe has it all! Boasting three miles of golden sands, Blue Flag status and seasonal lifeguards, it's an excellent destination for a coastal summer holiday in the southwest.
Down on the beach you can learn to surf, walk along the expansive shoreline or simply kick back under the sun with your holiday book of choice. Once you've had your fill of beach for the day, take a wander back into Woolacombe and refuel in one of its many vibrant cafes or traditional pubs.
This area is an excellent pick for keen walkers thanks to the easy access to the coast path. If you're looking for a memorable route, try out the Morte Point Walk and immerse yourself in its beguiling headlands, sweet coves and working lighthouse. You might even spot a seal frolicking nearby.
Sealife lovers would do well to take a day trip out to Lundy Island where you could catch a glimpse of sika deer, pygmy shrews and pipistrelle bats. Time it right and visit between April and July when their famous puffins are nesting.
Out of Woolacombe, north Devon offers a world of opportunity for fun and relaxation. You could take a boat ride, go on an epic cycle or ride a horse through the Devonshire countryside. Families will love the theme parks and zoos, and the bounty of beauty spots and historical attractions will keep your itinerary as full as you like. However you choose to spend your time, Skylark provides a sociable, spacious base, ideal for families and friends alike.
