Whether you’re keen to go for long walks, have a doggy-dip in the sea or enjoy a gentle stroll through a historic town, Yorkshire is a great destination for a dog-friendly holiday.
Both Thirsk and Malton border the North York Moors National Park, which is known for its captivating views and range of terrains. Malton itself was recently named the most dog-friendly town in the UK! Just a drive away is Robin Hood’s Bay, a beautiful beach that's dog-friendly all year round. Or you and your furry friend can visit nearby Whitby Abbey, the fabulously eerie inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. And a drive in the other direction will take you to the old cathedral city of York, which is home to dog-friendly pubs such as The Gillygate, The Ackthorne Inn and The Whippet Inn.
