As a fairly undiscovered spot, Newbridge is ideal for those wanting to avoid the tourist masses and take their break in the Isle of Wight a little slower.
On the doorstep of Newbridge is Calbourne Water Mill, a lovely sunny spot to spend an afternoon with the family. A stone’s throw from the hamlet is the island’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the west coast beaches, including Totland Bay and the Needles. There are some spectacular views of the Solent, the white cliffs and beyond. Visit Yarmouth or Freshwater for a lovely day out exploring this part of the island.
There are plenty of walks around this area so outdoors enthusiasts won’t be stuck for something to do. To the east of Newbridge is Newport, a shopping haven and home to a number of up and coming high end restaurants on the isle. There's also Cowes and East Cowes: home to the famous Cowes Week sailing competitions and an ideal place to visit for any sailing enthusiasts.
