Yarmouth is a great location to explore West Wight being based on the north west coast. The Needles are a great attraction to spend a day: you can get some fantastic photos from the chairlift and there are plenty of activities to keep the kids busy.
Whilst visiting the Needles, stop by Freshwater and Totland to find some lovely local food and drink or head to the coast to explore the picturesque Freshwater Bay. Keep following the coast south and you'll come across Brook and Brighstone, two fairly small villages with amazing views and plenty of walking routes to follow along the coastal path or further inland.
Yarmouth itself is a lovely town with plenty of cafes and restaurants to grab something to eat and drink, especially after travelling to the island. This is a great spot to take a moment to relax and unwind before you head off to find your lovely holiday cottage on the island.
