Our family ethos
Tony and Clare Tregoning started the business back in 1977 and their dedication to quality and excellence is at the heart of everything we do. Tony is sadly no longer with us, but we still adhere to their original ethos of finding holiday homes we would like to stay in and have slowly grown the company to find the best picks of properties across the counties. Plus Clare still drops in to keep us on our toes.
As an independent, family-run company, we wouldn’t expect you to stay anywhere we wouldn’t want to stay ourselves. And we’re pretty picky. We want you to walk into your handpicked holiday home and say ‘wow’, sit back and relax.
The tempestuous North Coast offers atmospheric walks along its cliffs and a plethora of playtime potential along its shores. For a great family friendly get away, take a cottage near the expansive sands at Westward Ho! As well as traditional beach pastimes, it’s also home to more fast-paced, adrenaline-fuelled pursuits: try your hand and kite-surfing, drive a kite buggy or take to the seas to windsurf. Surfing and laid back surf culture characterise many of North Devon’s seaside towns: soak it up with a holiday cottage in Woolacombe, Bideford or head to Croyde to sample a nostalgic seaside holiday town with modern day style.
As an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, North Devon is a visual feast. Add in the additional attractions of delightful beach-side towns and all their amenities as well as the potential to discover splendid isolation by striking out along the coastal paths, and you have all the ingredients for a truly memorable seaside escape right from your Devon cottage’s doorstep.
