KingIf you're looking for a perfectly situated coastal bolthole for solo adventures or a romantic getaway for two, you've found it. Croyde Bay Apartment is just a two-minute walk from the centre of Croyde, a picture-perfect coastal village in north Devon that boasts independent shops, vibrant surf culture and charming pubs aplenty.
Inside the apartment is everything you'll need to make the most of your seaside holiday. The main living space is open plan and has been expertly designed to make the use of all available space. The L-shaped kitchen-area has room for an oven, hob, kettle, microwave and even a dishwasher, so no quarrels over who's on washing up duty. There's a triangular shape dining-table perfect for two, then just along you'll find a generously proportioned green sofa, perfect for kicking back or snuggling up to watch a film after a day spent on the beach or coast path.
The bedroom, decorated in peaceful neutrals and green, features a king-size bed with clever bedside hanging and storage space meaning your holiday clothes don't need to stay crumpled in your bag. Before tucking yourself in for a night of restorative holiday slumber, wash away the day in the modern shower-room.
If you fancy some sun away from the crowds, this apartment even comes with its own private outside area. French doors lead from the living space to the decked terrace, which features a table, chairs and a barbecue perfect for dining al fresco in the summertime. Speaking of sunshine, the sun loungers are perfect for catching some rays and an inviting spot to curl up with your holiday book of choice.
The apartment also benefits from a dedicated parking space, and a storage space for surfboards and bikes.
A north Devon icon, Croyde Beach boasts world-class surf, sprawling golden sands and striking dunes. The Blue Flag status beach is popular with keen surfers, beach lovers and families alike. Spend the day with a surf school learning how to catch a wave like a pro, frolic in the shallows or simply kick back and soak up the sun.
After you've had your fun at the beach, head into the quaint village of Croyde and explore its collection of independent shops, surf boutiques and traditional pubs. Feeling peckish? Pop into a tea room and treat yourself to a traditional Devon cream tea (cream first around here).
The coastal location of Croyde makes it a popular spot with keen walkers and there's plenty of rewarding options. Take the walk to Baggy Point and keep your eyes peeled for seabirds and out to Lundy Island on a clear day. Or make it more challenging and continue to Putsborough, a sweet hamlet with two miles of sweeping golden sands.
If you tire of walking, why not try out two wheels instead? The Tarka Trail is nearby, a beautiful network of footpaths, bridleways and a converted railway line. The figure-of-eight route clocks in at 180 miles, so there's plenty of scope for adventuring here. If you prefer your outdoors manicured, grab your clubs and head to Saunton Golf Club, which is less than ten minutes away in the car.
Further afield you could take a boat ride out to sea, spend the day at a theme park, wander around historic sites or visit one of north Devon's endless quaint towns or villages. However, you choose to spend your time in north Devon, Croyde Bay makes for a charming seaside retreat.
