Towels and readymade beds
All of our cottages provide bed linen and towels as standard, with a change of bedding included for holidays of two weeks or more. You’ll also find a fresh change of towels for each week (for in the house only, please bring your own for the beach) and tea towels a-plenty.
The beds will be readymade and waiting for you on arrival so you can simply sink into comfort and relax straight into your holiday.
Stay in and relax with a good book, some biscuits and plenty of cups of tea to keep you going. Nothing more rejuvenating than some rest and relaxation to blow the cobwebs away. You’ll head back to work with a clear head and a happy heart.
The coast is on your doorstep so head out to Bigbury-On-Sea for some beachside antics. From rockpooling to bodyboarding, there’s something for all weathers. Take a camera and snap all the creatures you find in rockpools to make a seaside collage when you get home. For another beautiful beach, visit Bantham. Not too far away and still has lovely golden sands for you to enjoy all year round. With Dartmoor only 11 miles away, you have routes for walking, cycling and pony trekking across the dramatic landscapes of the moors.
With great access to beach locations across south Devon, Bigbury makes a great place for a family summer holiday enjoying the golden sands and wide blue skies of the summer. Pack your bucket and spade and maybe a few bodyboards to keep kids entertained on the beach. For rainy days, look to Plymouth. Only 17 miles from Bigbury, the city offers a plethora of shops and restaurants.
There’s also the National Marine Aquarium to explore. They put on events throughout the year, especially during school holidays. The iconic Plymouth hoe makes for some wonderful photos on a clear day. You can watch the National Fireworks Championship here in August, an amazing feat of craftsmanship and timing and the perfect summer evening activity.
