Just over the other side of Wootton Creek, you’ll find Fishbourne. A prime location as the destination of one of two ferry crossing options from Portsmouth, a simple and easy way to get across the Solent.
East Wight has some beautiful locations to discover on your travels from Wootton. Ryde has sandy beaches, lots of shops and a wonderful steam railway that spans across the east of the island – a lovely way to get around without a car.
Puckpool park runs between Ryde and Seaview and has miles of parkland where you can let little ones loose without worrying about what they’re up to. The harbour villages of Seaview, St Helens and Bembridge are great for visitors to meander around at their own leisure. The beaches of these villages are well worth the visit and are dog friendly all year round.
