Fishbourne has its own yacht club, perfect for those who love getting out on the water at any opportunity. The village plays host to the popular Fishbourne Inn and with Quarr Abbey nearby, the village is a great spot for those who like to get out and about whilst staying in a self catering cottage.
Fishbourne is a great location to get out and see the rest of the isle, perfect if you’re a first time visitors. To the west is East Cowes and Cowes, great for sailing enthusiasts who may want to visit in August for Cowes week. On the outskirts of East Cowes, you’ll find the beautiful Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s summer home. This is a lovely day out for all visitors to the isle and gives you an insight into the Victorian influence that stills remains today. To the west of Fishbourne, you can see Ryde, walk through Puckpool park from Ryde to Seaview and grab a bit to eat in the harbour villages of St Helens or Bembridge. Along this stretch of coast there are beautiful beaches with views of the Solent. Most of these beaches are dog friendly all year round too.
