With the golden sands of Shanklin beach a short walk away, this lovely holiday home sits in the heart of town, perfect for traditional days by the seaside and within easy reach of all the Isle of Wight has to offer. Shanklin is a characterful seaside town on the south-east coast, overlooking Sandown Bay and the Solent. Nearby attractions include the much-photographed Old Village with pretty, thatched cottages and the wooded ravine of Shanklin Chine. The town has a great choice of eclectic shops and eateries, ideal for a holiday on the island at any time of year.

Westhill View is a delightful home, tastefully furnished and the perfect holiday retreat for either a family or friends. The sitting-room to the front of the property is beautifully furnished with contemporary fittings which blend seamlessly with traditional high ceilings, bay window and stunning coal-effect gas fire. The super comfy sofa invites you to kick back and relax in front of the gas fire which will keep you toasty in cooler months. The sociable kitchen/diner is stylish and modern and a place where the chef can cook up a holiday feast whilst chatting to guests. And, with so many wonderful farm shops on the island offering the best of local produce, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to creating a culinary masterpiece.

Upstairs two dreamy bedrooms await, beautifully furnished in cool pastel shades. The spacious main bedroom has a fabulous bay window letting natural light flood in. Offering a king-size bed and luxury bedding, a great night's sleep is assured here! Bedroom two is lovely with a 'zip and link' bed offering the flexibility of either a super-king or twin beds, perfect for either children or adults alike. The first floor shower-room is modern and ideal for a refreshing shower after a day on the beach.

Outside Westhill View, a gravelled area on two sides of the property, the front and side, allows you to sit at the bistro table and enjoy your morning coffee or evening aperitif whilst the sun sets. There is a private parking space for one medium-sized car on a shared drive to the rear of the property which can be accessed along the one-way road to the side of Westhill View. Please note the one way road can be narrow resulting in the turning being tight in and out of the parking space. There is additional street-parking a few minutes walk away and a public pay and display car park within a five minute walk.

Shanklin Old Village is a lovely destination with a collection of pretty thatched roofed cottages, eclectic shops, cafes and restaurants and only a short walk away from Westhill View. Sandown Bay covers an area of over eight miles with sandy beaches aplenty, ideal for family beach time and perfect for building sandcastles. A short drive away the charming Victorian town of Ventnor awaits, with a fabulous beach, harbour and bandstand, days out here will be fun filled and action packed. Visit the Ventnor Botanic Gardens, a beautifully kept 22 acre sub-tropical paradise. Further afield, the iconic Needles is worth a visit and brave members of the party might take the famous chairlift down to the beach below. With miles of fabulous coastal walks, woodlands and sandy beaches, the Isle of Wight is somewhere you will look to return to year after year.
