We loved this cottage. It was in a great location and the cottage is light and airy, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Just a warning about the parking - it is very tight and you’d struggle with a large car. The master bedroom window is very noisy and woke us up throughout the night. If it was fixed, we’d rebook....

Westhill View is a beautiful property. It has a real calming & relaxing feel about it. The property has the most comfortable sofa & armchair allowing you to gaze out of the beautifully large windows. The property was however lacking in basics such as tea towel, hand soap & washing up sponge so if booking this property, it may be an idea to pack these things. The bedrooms boast a great deal of storage, in fact, it’s possibly one of the few properties in which we’ve been able to unpack our luggage entirely & we even had space left over in the drawers & wardrobe! Westhill View is in an ideal location, a 5 minute walk to Shanklin village with its shops, pubs & tearooms & around a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, although be warned, it is quite a steep descent & ascent but well worth it. There is a lift mid way along that you can pay to use if the walk would be too challenging. At the beach you will find some lovely restaurants, I particularly recommend the Waterfront Inn. There is also an arcade, of course the beach & crazy golf amongst other things. Most public toilets In the Isle of Wight charge 20p for you to use them so it’s worth stocking up before you visit! We fell in love with this house & the Isle of Wight & can’t wait to visit again! ...

Well what a fantastic property. I would go as far to say it’s one of the nicest holiday properties we have ever stayed in. Exceptionally clean and well equipped everything you could possibly need. Huge bright bedrooms with really comfortable beds. Great location for exploring the island. Only a 10min walk to the beautiful Shanklin beach. The fact it has parking is an added bonus, it is very tight but we expected this as it was clearly stated on the website that parking is tight. We were fortunate that there was never anyone next door so it wasn’t much of a problem for us. Overall a fantastic stay, couldn’t fault it. We will be back ...
