Welcome to 25 Palmerston Road, a delightful holiday home perfectly situated in the charming town of Shanklin and just a short stroll away from the golden sandy beach and a good selection of eateries. 25 Palmerston Road sits on a quiet residential street with plenty of space for families or a group of friends looking for an island escape.

A short flight of steps leads to the front door where you will find a spacious sitting-room, elegantly furnished with comfort in mind. The kitchen/diner is perfect for sociable dining with a large table for all the family to gather around to chat about the adventures of the day, or perhaps play a board game or two! The kitchen is well-equipped with a dual fuel cooker and of course the all-important dishwasher, so no squabbling over the washing up here! A separate utility-room is home to a washing machine and tumble-drier and you will also find a convenient cloakroom with WC and wash-basin on the ground floor.

Climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find three spacious bedrooms and the family bathroom. Bedroom one is a delightful room with feature wrought iron bedstead and king-size bed. Bedroom two is a pretty room with a double bed and bedroom three has twin beds, ideal for either adults or children. The well designed family bathroom has a bath with shower over so you can choose either a long soak or a refreshing shower after a beach day.

Outside, 25 Palmerston Road has a gorgeous, secluded patio, perfect for al fresco dining in the island sunshine and a pretty lawn where you can sit and relax with a good book. Whether you are looking to spend your days out and about exploring or have a car free holiday and discover Shanklin on foot, 25 Palmerston Road has all you need for an idyllic island getaway.

Shanklin is a delightful town made up of two halves, Shanklin and Shanklin Old Town, found just next door to each other. Whilst Shanklin itself has a good assortment of shops and cafes, the Old Town has a delightful collection of pretty thatched cottages, pubs and restaurants. A short walk away, Shanklin Chine is the Island's oldest attraction and worth a visit to see the tree-lined gorge with waterfalls and lush vegetation. At night and at certain times of year the chine is illuminated and beautiful to see under a starry sky. The beach at Shanklin is perfect for families, a long stretch of golden sand backed by a promenade. Walkers can pick up the coast path and head out to discover fabulous sea views and gorgeous countryside and water sports lovers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing a beach.

Should you decide to explore further afield, head for West Wight and the crystal-clear waters of Freshwater Bay, perfect for kayakers and paddle boarders looking to explore the many coves and inlets. Osborne House is a fabulous place to spend the day. Once the home of Queen Victoria you can visit the house, extensive gardens and even the Queen's private beach with her very own bathing hut still in situ. To the east of the island, Bembridge is home to the last surviving windmill and whilst you are there take a look at the lifeboat station, it is quite special.

With miles of stunning coastline, beautiful countryside and pretty villages, the Isle of Wight is a fabulous place for a holiday and 25 Palmerston Road the perfect base for all your island adventures.
