Tucked away on an unmade track just a few yards from the sea and Bembridge Yacht club, this wonderful Classic Cottage has all the makings of a perfect holiday idyll. Laid across three floors, this charming house has been beautifully presented offering guests superb accommodation within a stone's throw to the beach. Just a few minutes' walk up the hill takes you to the centre of Bembridge village where you will find a great selection of independent shops, cafes and local pubs. Bembridge has its own bakery, fishmonger and butcher; everything you could possibly need is on your doorstep!

The first floor has a stylish sitting-room leading through to the open plan kitchen/dining-room. Doors from the dining area open to a walled patio area with outdoor sofa, a wonderful extension to the seating area on those balmy summer days to sit back and relax with a good book in the sunshine. The two double bedrooms are on the first floor, one of which has an en suite shower-room. There is an additional family bathroom with bath and shower over on this floor. The second floor has sleeping for an additional two guests, cleverly built into the eaves, guests must be aware that the mattresses are on floor level and there is restricted head height. Old Bembridge House is charming and full of character, you will not be disappointed!

Bembridge is surrounded by some wonderful beaches, several of which have resident beach cafes. The Harbour View cafe is just a few minutes' walk away from Old Bembridge House and overlooks Bembridge harbour. Serving, amongst other things, delicious locally-caught seafood; it's the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat on your lazy holiday days. Forelands beach is another favourite, a mixture of sand and rock pools, the water here is shallow and ideal for swimming. Take a seat at The Beach Hut cafe for tea and scones and a superb sea view taking in Culver Down.

Situated on the easternmost point of the Island Bembridge is also the home to the last surviving windmill on the Isle of Wight, now in the hands of the National Trust. Open to the public to have a look around you can soak up the Island's history. Bembridge Lifeboat Station was newly built in 2014 and accessible to visitors on set days, an iconic building with a museum to look around; it is well worth a visit. The beach here is mainly sandy and a great spot for a picnic or walk along the water's edge, tide permitting, back to Old Bembridge House. The neighbouring villages of St Helens and Seaview are a short drive away and offer more wonderful beaches, cafes and restaurants to choose from. The Island has some stunning coastline to explore and some amazing walks to enjoy many taking in some the Isle of Wights famous sights.
