Light filled and with oodles of space, 9 The Ruskins is a contemporary semi-detached home, perfect for family holidays or groups of friends looking for an island getaway.
From the moment you arrive you will be captivated. The sitting-room is beautifully styled with fabulous artwork and luxury comfy sofas. The open fire will keep you toasty at any time of year making this a great place for a break during cooler months. The sleek and stylish kitchen will keep the chef happy and leads out into the fabulous conservatory where you can sit and relax surrounded by lush garden.
The kitchen/diner is open plan so everyone can be together to plan the day ahead. Patio doors lead out from the dining area into beautiful gardens which wrap around three sides, the place to sit with a morning coffee or perhaps an evening aperitif in the evening sun. A handy utility-room on this floor leads to the convenient downstairs cloakroom.
Climb the stairs and three pretty bedrooms await, all beautifully styled with luxury bed linens. Bedroom one is a delightful double room with a 'zip and link' bed (which can be made up as a king-size double or two-foot six-inch twin beds - the latter are recommended for children only). Dreamy bedroom two also has a king-size bed and the benefit of an en suite bathroom, perfect for a relaxing bath after a day on the beach. Roomy bedroom three has twin beds, ideal for either children or adults. The family bathroom is also on this floor and has a bath with a shower attachment.
The outside space at 9 The Ruskins is lovely and you can enjoy birdsong in the wrap around garden throughout the year. The property has a parking space next to the house and additional cars can park close by in the cul-de-sac.
With miles of beach just a short stroll away and the village centre close by, you really have found an exceptional holiday home here.
The Isle of Wight is a short ferry journey from the mainland and this small island which measures just 13 miles by 27 miles packs a big punch when it comes to your getaway. With miles of gorgeous beaches, stunning coastal walks, woodlands and open heathland, the great outdoors awaits. The iconic Needles and Osborne House, the holiday home of Queen Victoria, should definitely be on your 'to do' list.
Closer to home, Bembridge is a lovely village where you can stock up on holiday produce without using the car. Woodfords is a renowned butchers and locals travel from all over the island to stock up from here. Captain Stan's Fish Store is supplied by local fishermen and No 8, a farm shop, has the freshest of local produce. If the chef is looking for a night off, there are plenty of options when it comes to eating out with a variety of restaurants and pubs close by.
At low tide Bembridge has miles of beach to discover and a myriad of footpaths to ramble along. Walk along the harbourside and admire the charming houseboats, or perhaps walk to St Helens Duver, a sandy spit of land with abundant wildlife and steeped in history. However you plan to spend time on the island, the Isle of Wight really does have it all when it comes to your holiday.
