Set in the heart of the pretty village of St Mawgan and only a five minute drive from the golden sands and stunning coastline of Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth, Forge Cottage is a truly delightful holiday retreat. Lovingly and impeccably presented throughout, you are sure to unwind and relax in no time at all. Socialise together in the open plan living-room, snuggled up in front of the cosy wood-burner or gathered around the breakfast-bar whilst planning the day ahead, and if you want to spread out, there's the added bonus of a second sitting-area on the first floor. All the delights of the village are within a short stroll of this charming semi-detached cottage. Stock up on some essential provisions at the village shop, enjoy some traditional Cornish hospitality at the Falcon Inn, with its wonderful beer garden, or you can indulge in a cream tea in the village tea rooms. The younger members of the group can burn up some energy in the village park and for the horticulturalists the Japanese Garden is a treat. Forge Cottage has two double beds and a single bed for flexibility, but only accommodates four guests.
Combine the taste of village life with some adventures on the coast. There are world class watersports to master at Watergate Bay along with top notch food at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall. Mawgan Porth is a family favourite offering acres of golden sands and rock pools and caves to explore. You are sure to visit the popular fishing town of Padstow, to wander the shops and galleries, join a boat trip, visit historic Prideaux Place or simply sample the delights of one of the many cafes and restaurants – you may even get there on two wheels if you hire a bike at Wadebridge and cycle along the renowned Camel Trail. With the family attractions of Camel Creek and Dairyland close by and award-winning vineyards at Camel Valley and Trevibban this is a terrific base for families, couples and friends.
