Step through the front door into a very welcoming little hallway, head into the dreamy open plan living-room, sink into the cosy sofas and instantly switch off from the hustle and bustle of your busy lives.

Climb the stairs and choose from three beautiful bedrooms, each dressed to impress. The main bedroom offers an oasis of calm with a king-size bed and en suite shower-room. Bedrooms two and three are both vibrant and striking. The bed in the second room can be configured as either a king-size double or small twin beds, and we feel sure the children will love the bunk-beds in the third bedroom. Two of the bedrooms boast lovely sea views. The contemporary family bathroom is also located on this floor, with a bath and fitted shower. With a passion for style, Cowan's owner has created beautiful interiors.
Nearby Constantine Bay, is considered one of the most exclusive bays in north Cornwall and is home to one of the finest surfing beaches in the area, as well as the championship golf course at Trevose if you fancy a round or two!
Less than three miles away is magical Padstow. Stroll along the unique streets, stopping to browse around the boutique shops and small galleries. Pick up some of the best local produce, something handmade or uniquely Cornish to take home with you.
Cowan is also just across the water from the buzzing towns of Rock and Polzeath, so there is no shortage of local fun come serious sunshine or Poldark-inspired rain!
Just a short stroll from Cowan you will come to The Pig, a foodie's delight. This stunning house is well worth a visit for a leisurely lunch or informal dinner. One of Cornwall's most historic manors dating back to the 15th Century, The Pig has far-reaching sea views, oodles of quirks and character and stacks of original features; booking in advance is most definitely advised.
Other great places to visit, and all close by, are Prawn on the Lawn, (a personal favourite with us at Classic Cottages) a very intimate hotspot where you can feast on the freshest seafood and Nathan Outlaw's Fish Kitchen which is tucked away within a 15th Century fisherman's cottage overlooking the harbour in Port Isaac.
Cowan is a perfect family holiday home, but also works exceedingly well for couples seeking a romantic hideaway. And being very dog-friendly you can also bring your four-legged friend along too!
