Bro Tref Cottage

A charming, semi-detached cottage found in the pretty village of St Mawgan; just a couple of miles away from the sandy beaches of Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay. With a village shop, tea room, excellent pub and a footpath from the village to the beach, you might not even need to get in the car on your holiday.

Beautifully presented over three floors, Bro Tref provides oodles of space for you and your party. Park up in front of the house and you are greeted with a sunny seating space by the front door. Entering into the spacious sitting-room with a charming wood-burner and large sofas to flop into you will instantly feel in holiday mode. The property has kept its original features such as the stunning fireplace and old bread oven too, creating a lovely atmosphere.

The family kitchen is very well-equipped for your every need and overlooks the garden. There is a large table which is perfect for long lazy breakfasts or congregating around at the end of the day. Open the back door to the garden where you can easily pop in and out if you fancy a summer barbecue.

Up the stairs on the first floor you find three bedrooms and the family bathroom, saving the top floor for the principal suite. The light and spacious main bedroom is tucked away from the hubbub of the holiday, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet (please be aware there is no door and is open from the landing). The king-size bed ensures a good night's sleep and the owner has thoughtfully popped a kettle up here too so you can relax on the sofa with your first coffee of the day. There is of course an en suite shower-room; please do take care not to bump your head on the sloping ceilings.

The three bedrooms on the first floor which include a double, a twin/'zip and link' and a bunk room, offer lots of flexibility for your party. These bedrooms share a family bathroom, accessed via one step down, where you can enjoy a long soak in the bath after a day in the surf (please take care when exiting the bathroom at the top of the stairs).

Outside there is a lovely garden space with a patio and a raised lawned area. Outside the kitchen door is the sheltered patio with a table and chairs making outside dining so easy, there is also a charcoal barbecue if you fancy cooking some yummy local produce over coals. If you want to enjoy a pre-dinner drink perhaps sink into the rattan sofas with a refreshing gin and tonic. There is also a raised lawn area perfect for pooches or little ones to have a teddy bears' picnic. Outside the front of Bro Tref Cottage is another outside space with the most stunning monkey puzzle tree where you can enjoy the morning sun with a cup of tea.
