Just minutes away from beautiful sandy beaches at Porthluney and Gorran Haven this lovely Grade II Listed cottage is perfect for those who appreciate the seamless blending of traditional and up-to-date styles. Set in a tranquil location within the grounds of the old Georgian vicarage near the pretty village of Gorran Churchtown, The Cottage at Polgorran mixes slate flagstones, sash windows and original beams with a contemporary downstairs bathroom, a kitchen-area with modern appliances, cosy central heating and a wood-burner.
This is an ideal location for rest and relaxation between forays out to explore the gorgeous Cornish south coast. The Owner lives next door and is immensely hospitable but carefully respects your privacy once you are settled in.
The Cottage at Polgorran has a large, comfortably furnished sitting-room with a wood-burner for warmth on chillier evenings and a window overlooking the private cottage garden which is abundantly planted and perfect for outdoor meals and drinks. The bathroom has both a bath and a shower cubicle so aching muscles can be soaked after long walks along the coastal footpaths nearby, where spectacular sunsets are often seen. Upstairs, the three bedrooms are decorated in true cottage-style, with ornate bedsteads and pretty linens.
The nearby fishing village of Mevagissey is a delightful jumble of fishermen's cottages, ancient pubs and quaint shops, and there are beautiful gardens at Caerhays Castle and Heligan a couple of miles away, with the inspirational Eden Project just a little further.
Due to the rural location of the cottage, broadband speeds can sometimes be rather slow.
