Super cottage in an excellent location and the owner was very welcoming but not intrusive. It was a great base for our family holiday.
Mrs Harris September 2019
A spacious and very comfortable cottage which is suitable for anyone that wants to get away from the crowds after their day out. A warm welcome was given by Sue who lives next door and we were given a lovely home made cake on arrival. The cottage is very well equiped, every thing we needed was there. I can highly recommend this cottage and it was very interesting speaking to Sue about the renovation of the cottage.
Mr Elsey June 2019
The cottage has everything you need and more its just a shame the outside area is shaded by a very overgrown garden. We had excellent weather and was unable to enjoy it outside the cottage. There is a big garden area at the back of the cottage may be the owner could consider letting the clients use it. As it currently of bounds to clients.

Thanks for sharing your review of this lovely property. The traditional cottage garden does have lots of established bushes and trees, very much in keeping with the property's style, but we're sorry that you felt it looked a little overgrown. The space to the rear of the cottage is retained by the owner but guests have private use of the garden, barbecue and seating area to the front - the sun does move around the garden for most of the day and you'll usually find a patch to enjoy somewhere. Ms Merlo April 2019
The cottage is extremely clean and very well equipped. All the bedrooms are spacious, with ample storage space and comfy beds. The location is great because it’s close to some of the best beaches as well as to Heligan and the Eden Project, within easy reach of big supermarkets and farm shops, but yet very quiet and private.

We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay in this lovely area. We'd always recommend that guests visit our fabulous farm shops, not only to cut down on 'food miles', but also to see (and taste!) what wonderful products are made and grown locally. We hope you'll come back again soon. Tanya, Customer Support

I can wholeheartedly recommend The Cottage at Polgorran as the perfect place to spend a family holiday. The standard of cleanliness at the cottage is second to none and it is fitted out with everything that could possibly be needed for a successful self-catering holiday. The cottage is situated in a very peaceful location but close to the village of Gorran Churchtown and is an ideal base for touring all parts of Cornwall, as well as enjoying many local attractions such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, the pretty fishing village of Mevagissey, Charlestown (and other locations where the popular television series Poldark is filmed) to name but a few, with stunning coastal scenery and unlimited walks to enjoy.

The cottage is beautifully presented and very comfortable. No corners have been cut; in fact, every tiny detail has been thought about. There was even fresh milk, a bottle of wine and a home made cake on arrival with a welcoming note personally addressed to us. I would definitely return in the future.

Mrs Harwood-Stamper August 2013
We really liked the cottage, rural but only a couple of miles from Gorran Haven Beach. It was well situated for other beaches and places to visit such as Eden. The welcoming table laid for tea with a homemade cake and bottle of wine was wonderful after a long journey. The cottage had everything we needed and a great selection of DVDs. We hadn't seen The Goodies for years and had a goods laugh at our teenage children's reactions. There was a good range of films for children and adults. The kitchen was very well equipped, better than my own! The owner was very nice and the garden very pretty. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough to make use of the barbecue. I would suggest booking ahead for a meal at the local pub, we were turned away as we hadn't. So a quick trip to Tescos in St Austell meant we were stocked up. There was plenty of storage space in the dairy. We had a great stay, very relaxing.
Mr Ross May 2013
