When a family finds themselves with a critically ill child needing care at Bristol Children’s Hospital, it is often that they are miles away from their homes and in need of somewhere to stay near the hospital so that they can be there for their child. The Grand Appeal is a truly inspirational charity and their work includes providing comfortable accommodation for parents to eat, sleep and recharge, along with funding state of the art equipment, medical research, and running music, play and art therapy programmes. With the demand for family accommodation continuing to grow, we are delighted to be able to donate £2,000 which will support a family in need of accommodation.
Commenting on Classic’s support, Anne Clements, Grand Appeal Family Accommodation Manager says: “We can’t thank Classic Cottages enough for supporting our family accommodation service this year. We run three home-from-homes that provide a lifeline to parents when they need it most. This donation will make a genuine difference to families from across the South West. Our houses provide a space to sleep, eat and recharge as well as a network of support for parents who are going through the toughest of times.”
