Cwtch y Rhos

Take a slow breakfast in Cwtch y Rhos or stroll to Cove Corner cafe for a hearty Welsh breakfast. Take lunch in the historical Royal Oak Pub, built on the site where the French surrendered, or in Ffwrn just up the road, for a tasty artisan pizza and other delicious dishes. The nearest well-stocked supermarkets are a short walk away, CKs and the Co-op. Further north of Fishguard, flanked between mountains and the sea, is the bustling coastal town of Newport. Walk The Parrog, browse the boutique shops or take lunch in a choice of good cafes and pubs. For a treat try LLys Meddyg which champions foraged ingredients form the local shores, hedgerows and their kitchen gardens, alongside fresh local ingredients, celebrating what's best in season. There are glorious beaches in abundance within a short drive. From enchanting Pwllgwaelod and the sheltered cove of Cwm yr Eglws, to the rolling surf of Whitesands and Newgale - paradise for surfers.

The mystical smallest city of St Davids is worth a visit and do include a visit to the magnificent cathedral. Look out for the musical events throughout the year.
