Nestling in a spectacular corner of Pembrokeshire this splendid Welsh retreat, dating back to the 14th Century, offers delightful tradition with stylish modern comforts. Carngowil Farmhouse, sleeping seven guests over two floors, is a gorgeous farmhouse with far reaching views across the Preseli Mountains and beyond. Enjoy the mature and extensive private gardens including a large children's climbing frame. Ideal for families and friends throughout the year, be captivated by the wealth of wonderful character features that remain including ceiling beams, wooden floors, terracotta tiles, exposed stone walls and fireplaces, effortlessly blended with stylish furniture and luxurious furnishings.

Discover the coast path very nearby and some of Pembrokeshire's spectacular beaches and dramatic coastline.

Step into the spacious and stylish traditional kitchen with its warming Aga, which sets the scene and delightful atmosphere. Very well-equipped, the holiday chef will be in their element. Move through into the open plan sitting/dining-room, which features a large wooden table, ideal for leisurely meals together or board games on rainy days and comfy sofas to relax in. Light the fire on chillier evenings and take time out in the cosy glow after a day discovering the magnificent beauty of the surrounding area. Unwind in the warm embrace of the snug next door, promising to soothe the soul, the gorgeous inglenook fireplace houses a toasty wood-burner. The family bathroom is also on the ground floor.

Climb separate stairs to the en suite double room with super-king size bed, which can also be made up as twin beds. Ideal for grandparents seeking a little space or parents of older children, this bedroom is located away from the other three bedrooms. On the other side of the farmhouse the main staircase leads to the en suite double room, with king-size bed, sweet single room and delightful twin room. Soak up the stunning views from all four bedrooms whilst enjoying the sumptuous down and feather bedding which await your repose.

Spend time in the idyllic and expansive grounds. Children will love the play-area on sunny days whilst the dog explores the lawned areas. In warmer weather, benches are placed throughout the grounds and meals can be enjoyed outdoors on a large garden table. Carngowil Farmhouse has it all for a perfect Pembrokeshire holiday.

Nearby is access to the coastal path. Discover craggy coves, pretty seaside villages and long stretches of golden sands in the magnificent surrounding area. Take a boat trip to spot the local sea life, including pods of dolphins and seals, which may also be seen from the local beaches.

In the sunshine, pack a picnic and choose from one of the many beautiful beaches in the area, Goodwick, Abermawr, Aberbach, Whitesand, Cwm yr Eglws and Newport. Strumble Head and lighthouse are spectacular. Try paddleboarding at Goodwick or Lower Fishguard, which are both very close by. In Goodwick the seafront cafe, soft play-area and park are popular for younger children. Goodwick also has a supermarket, good pubs, fish and chip cafe and if you fancy it, a ferry for a day trip to Ireland.

In the historic town of Fishguard, which hosts international music festivals throughout the year, wander the shops, galleries and antiques shops, taking lunch in the Old Oak or dinner in Abergwaun. Drive or walk down to beautiful Lower Fishguard to feed the ducks or go to the cafe along the quay. Have lunch at Melin Tregwynt Woollen Mill, ten minutes by car, or a little further afield in one of the good eateries in Newport. This enchanting area, located in the heart of Pembrokeshire's outstanding natural beauty, has the allure of the sea, towering cliffs, the Preseli Hills, ancient standing stones and the mystical Cwm Gwaun wooded valley which are all waiting to be explored. For day trips, why not try St Davids with its magnificent cathedral or Castle Henllys, an Iron Age village set in thirty acres of beautiful woodland and river meadows.

Enchanting Carngowil is beautifully renovated, stylish and brimming with character and soul, set in a spectacular area and offers the perfect peaceful getaway throughout the year.
