Locally known for excellent food is The Arundell Arms in the village, a bit of a hill to get to it but downhill all the way home.

Leat Mill Cottage and Leat Mill (1409), which is set across the private gravelled drive, adjoining the owners' house, are nestled in an unspoilt Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty popular with walkers, the occasional rambler strolling past.

A gentle stroll along the banks of the River Lyd (where fly fishing can be arranged in season) takes you into Lifton village, with its two excellent pubs.

Leat Mill Cottage is close to Dartmoor, with Roadford Lake Country Park only four miles away, and both the north and south coasts within easy driving distance. In this peaceful area there are just a handful of nearby neighbours.
