Relaunched for 2026 and looking forward to welcoming guests.

Rossmoyne offers a place to escape to, a wonderful rural location where you can enjoy hours of walking, cycling or even wild swimming, if you're brave enough! With Lydford Gorge at the end of the track this is sure to be a family favourite, the waterfall will not fail to impress. Whilst this villa is rural and offers wonderful tranquility, just a short drive away you can enjoy the shops, cafes and weekly market at Tavistock or a little further afield is the coastal town of Bude for those beach days. This location offers a different adventure for every day of your holiday!

Rossmoyne is a grand semi-detached Victorian villa and you will not fail to be impressed by the original features that have been retained, from ornate coving to wonderful ceiling roses. Each room has been furnished to the highest standard with family gatherings and comfort being thought of throughout.

The kitchen/breakfast-room is bright and airy, situated at the back of the house with views over the enclosed courtyard. The kitchen is equipped to cater for 10 people with an additional cooking option in the utility-room which links via a door from the kitchen. The utility-room offers a great space for coats and shoes and extra food storage, and this is also where the washing machine and tumble-drier are located.

The hallways and landings link each room with a grand central staircase; the shower-room is located on the half-landing with all the bedrooms being on the first floor. The first two bedrooms are situated to the front of the house with both offering en suites. These rooms also have additional seating should some quiet time be required - the benefit of a Victorian villa is space, and this house has space for everyone.

A further twin bedroom (bedroom 4) is accessed through a twin (bedroom 3) and is the perfect set up for children or individual travelling friends; bedroom 4 is located down two steps and separated by a door. The final double bedroom has views of the countryside and moorland, and with the windows open you can also enjoy the sound of peacefulness or the joy of the children playing in the garden. This is a versatile room with a 'zip and link' option and is closest to the shower-room on the half-landing.

The garden is a wonderful space for young and old to enjoy and will offer hours of playtime for your little people. The sitting-area outside the front door is perfectly positioned to enjoy a family barbecue and listen to birdsong as the sun sets. There is a stream by the entrance gate and whilst the shallow stream is a feature it is at the bottom of the garden so children must be accompanied at all times.

On entering the sitting-room and dining-room you will not only enjoy the views of the garden but also the light coming in through the sash windows. Each room has been designed for the family to gather together to enjoy at the end of the day, during those colder nights the joy of the roaring fires will make for cosy family nights watching a family favourite film around the 65" Smart TV in the sitting-room, or enjoy a song around the piano in the hall.

The enclosed courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco meals whilst also offering a place for younger children to play and enjoy whilst still in view of the adults. This courtyard will be a place that the family can come together to enjoy a meal at the end of the day, with solar lights and blankets the bustle of everyday life will seem like a distant memory.

Rossmoyne is perfectly positioned on Dartmoor with miles of walking and wonderful far reaching views and not forgetting those wonderful Dartmoor ponies. For the keen cyclist you are just 200 metres off the National Cycle Network which includes Devon coast to coast, route 27 and the Dartmoor way. The Granite Way also starts in Lydford - this is a truly spectacular mostly traffic-free cycle/walking route. For eating out and shopping you have nearby Tavistock, offering restaurants, shops and a fabulous pannier market. The location means you can take advantage of being close to the Cornish border, allowing you to venture west to the coast or plan a day to the Eden Project.

Rossmoyne is versatile and offers different guests different experiences, from a holiday for a group of friends to a multi-generational family holiday, this wonderful home is sure to become a firm favourite.
