DoubleThis superb, spacious detached house close to Seaview village has wonderful sea views from the first floor open plan sitting/dining-room and balcony. Taking full advantage of the views the house has an upside-down layout with two of the four bedrooms on the ground floor. The first floor has lots of space to relax or dine, whilst savouring the view with two bi-fold doors which lead out to the balcony. Enjoy a glass of wine in this idyllic setting before wandering down to the Seaview Hotel for a bite to eat, perhaps one of their famous crab ramekins.
The main bedroom is on the ground floor, with a separate dressing-room, which leads through to the en suite shower-room. This room is very tastefully decorated and is sea facing, a wonderful view to wake up to. There is a large family bathroom on this floor with a bath and separate shower cubicle. The bunk bedroom doubles up as the games-room, a pure delight for the younger ones in the party. It has a DVD player and comfy bean bags to watch a film plus a vast array of games and a selection of books and toys to enjoy. There is also a Nintendo Wii for guests' use (please note there are no TV channels available in this room). Double doors lead from this room out to the enclosed rear garden. A patio-area with table and chairs and lawned area, this sun-trap is perfect for an al fresco supper in the Island's wonderful climate.
The further two double bedrooms are on the first floor, both overlooking the rear garden and one with en suite shower-room. This layout makes for the perfect family destination with plenty of space for everyone. The separate kitchen leads off from the sitting/dining-room and has dual-aspect sea views with the Spinnaker Tower in sight across the busy shipping channel of the Solent. Solas has been very thoughtfully decorated throughout with many lovely art works on the walls and soft furnishings to match. Fully equipped with everything you need for a family holiday and with plenty of storage space, you will definitely want to return to this Classic Cottage.
Just a few minutes' walk down the road leads you to Seagrove Bay, a stunning beach with both sand and pebbles with shallow water ideal for swimming in. Seaview village is also just a few minutes' walk where there are several cafes and restaurants to choose from, whether you are looking for a coffee and cake or a hearty meal of locally-caught fish and chips. Seaview beach itself is quite rocky making it crabbing heaven, with endless rock pools to explore for the little ones and a good spot for the afternoon's ice cream.
A few miles along the coast is the larger town of Ryde where there are plenty of restaurants and shops to sample, with the promenade all the way from Seaview this is an ideal cycle ride or level walk, if you are feeling energetic. There are several beach cafes along the way to stop and refuel whilst boat spotting out to sea. From this north eastern corner of the Island nothing is too far away, the Island has some of the most dramatic coastline in the UK, including the iconic Needles off the west coast. There are endless coastal walks and cycle trails encompassing the delights of this wonderful Isle, many a happy holiday can be enjoyed and remembered for years to come.
