Perfectly situated in the heart of the charming village of Seaview on the stunning east coast of the Isle of Wight, The Police House is a delightful, detached holiday home located just a short stroll from the beach, restaurants and cafes. Ideal for families or a group of friends looking for an Island getaway, your four-legged friend is also welcome to join you.

From the moment you arrive you will feel instantly at home in this gorgeous and stylish abode. The entrance hall guides you through to the open plan kitchen/dining-room, which is light and bright and perfect for sociable meals around the dining-table. Wall to wall sliding doors offer a delightful view of the garden and you can dine inside or out, depending on the weather. The kitchen is oh so stylish with all the equipment you’ll need and a handy breakfast-bar where guests can perch and chat with the chef.

The contemporary sitting-room offers a lovely space to unwind after a day by the sea, sink into the cosy sofas with a glass of something chilled and enjoy a film of your choice on the Smart TV. Also on the ground floor, you will find a wet-room and handy utility-room, a great place for storing sandy beachwear.

Make your way up to the first floor to discover four charmingly decorated bedrooms, each one is cosy, welcoming and thoughtfully prepared for a restful night’s sleep.

The first two bedrooms are comfortable twin rooms, ideal for either children or adults, the third bedroom features a super-king size bed with en suite shower-room and the final bedroom offers a spacious retreat with a king-size bed and the luxury of an en suite bathroom. A convenient family wet-room is also located on this floor.

Outside, The Police House has a delightful, enclosed garden with lawned area which the family dog and children will love, and patio with outside furniture, the perfect spot for enjoying some Island sunshine.

Whether you are looking for a blissful summer holiday or off-season short break, this charming holiday home has all you need for a restful Island escape.

Seaview village is all you need for a relaxing seaside getaway, a short stroll takes you to the local community store stocked with fresh Island produce and everyday essentials. For breakfast or lunch, take a wander to Lily’s Cafe – a friendly spot serving delicious cakes, salads, hearty sandwiches and of course, excellent coffee!

When it comes to dinner you are spoilt for choice, the Seaview Hotel offers fine dining as well as a cosy pub with wood-burner and sunny patio – perfect for watching the world go by. Alternatively, The Old Fort pub boats panoramic views across the Solent through its large seaside windows, plus outdoor seating. Both venues are known for their excellent food and welcoming atmosphere.

There’s no shortage of beautiful beaches to explore nearby. Seaview Bay is a favourite with children, with its large rocks perfect for climbing and is a popular spot for crabbing. Seagrove Bay offers soft sands and calm waters, ideal for swimming and sunbathing, while Priory Bay (accessed via the coastal path only when the tide allows) is a secluded, picturesque spot that’s not to be missed.

Further afield there are many attractions to suit every interest. Step back in time at Osborne House, the former summer home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert – tour the incredible house and gardens, and see what life was really like as a royal!

Continue along the coast to Freshwater Bay, a beautiful beach with caves to explore which will transport you to another world – please note the caves are only accessible at low tide.

Whether it’s family fun at Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill, Tapnell Farm or Sandown Pier, or something a little gentler like The Donkey Sanctuary, Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, or a peaceful stroll around the Nature Reserve at Newtown Creek or Arreton Down, you’ll find plenty to make your stay truly unforgettable.
