First impressions of this beautifully presented, detached single-storey cottage is of light, openness and stylish comfort. Set on the quiet outskirts of Lizard, the most southerly village in the country, Tara stands a few yards from the owners’ home and a short walk from Anskyber (2326), in a private enclosed garden with glorious sea views to Lizard Point.

Just a 10 minute stroll away along a track bordered by fields is the owners’ cafe, where a complimentary cream tea awaits you.

Inside, Tara’s tasteful soft cream colour scheme is restful and relaxing. The spacious light-filled sitting/dining-room has sea views, and a wall-mounted LED electric fire creating a cosy atmosphere on cooler evenings. The contemporary kitchen also has lovely sea views.

The family shower-room and attractively decorated bedrooms are beyond the large entrance hall; one has a king-size bed and en suite shower-room, and another has versatile ‘zip and link’ beds. The bunk-bedroom is ideal for children.

The cream tea at the cafe is definitely an indulgence – but one you can justify by taking an exhilarating clifftop walk along the fabulous coastal path afterwards, to Housel Bay and Cadgwith in one direction, or stunning Kynance Cove in the other!
