Located in the centre of Christchurch, this pub serves lunch and dinner using fresh produce locally sourced where ever possible. During the warmer months dine outside in the secluded garden.

Nearby beach

A sand and shingle beach, Southborne Beach has been recognised with the prestigious Blue Flag Award. With water safe for bathers and high levels of cleanliness, it is a popular spot amongst visitors and locals alike, especially with families. There is also a promenade running along the spine of the beach, a nice way to take a stroll and enjoy the sea views. There are lots of facilities available for children and adults and equipment for hire too.

Nearby walk

A short stroll around the town centre and through Christchurch Quay and the grounds of the Priory. Take a look at the Web site for parking and location details.

Nearby town

A larger town in Dorset but it certainly hasn't lost any of that Dorset county charm. It has a rich maritime history, being situated centrally on the south coast and smuggling was rife. Now it's a prominent tourist hotspot with all the amenities one could need wrapped up in historic buildings and nature reserves, not forgetting the sea views and beaches.

Also nearby

A National Trust nature reserve, this three-mile curve of sand is home to many breeds of rare bird. Voted the UK's 4th top beach by Which? Magazine - though locals would probably place it higher. Studland Bay is also famous for its nudist section at Knoll Bay, the National Trust's only designated naturist beach. You will find safe shallow waters here and National Trust members can park for free.

Gets pretty busy at peak times, but it's a great place all year round - as sandy as the Bournemouth beaches but totally sheltered from the prevailing south westerly breezes. National Trust Membesr park for free. Use the road from Corfe or chain ferry from Sandbanks.
