Located midway between the bustling High Street and clifftops overlooking the sea, this light and welcoming escape is perfect for couples, friends sharing or families to enjoy a coastal getaway.
With light-filled rooms giving a good sense of space, this holiday home-from-home is the ideal place to enjoy time together whatever the season. The comfortable sitting-area with open archway to a dining-area is great for relaxing in after a busy day exploring the area. There is also a useful utility-room and downstairs cloakroom. The well-equipped kitchen has all you need to rustle up hearty breakfasts or simple suppers and an adjoining garden-room bridges the gap between inside and out, and leads to the courtyard where on warmer days you can enjoy al fresco dining and barbecues with friends and family, with the distant sounds of the waves lashing the shore at high tide.
Climb the stairs to the first floor where you'll find two bedrooms. The gorgeous principal bedroom boasts a king-size bed with plenty of room for a travel cot, should your family include a babe in arms, whilst the twin room can be enjoyed by adults or children with full-size single beds. A light and bright family bathroom completes the accommodation, perfect for washing off sandy toes after a fun day at the beach and a useful separate WC is found alongside the bathroom.
A gentle stroll from your holiday home is the popular seafront and promenade. Wander beneath the striped cliffs at low tide and enjoy rock-pooling with youngsters beneath the iconic whitewashed lighthouse. A little further along you will discover the idyllic sandy beaches of Old Hunstanton where pastel shades of beach huts decorate the dunes; a fun place to explore at any time of the year, with far reaching views out to sea. The beach cafe is a popular hangout year-round with visitors and locals alike, serving great food and drinks.
Set back from the beach and within easy access is the renowned Ancient Mariner Inn, this lovely gastropub is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunsets from the terrace whilst youngsters can enjoy the large expanse of lawn bordering the dunes. Enjoy a light lunch or hearty supper; a hotspot for kite and windsurfers too where big skies complete this picture-perfect location.
This area of Norfolk is a delight for the whole family with so much to do year-round. The nearby coast road is popular for foodies with a plethora of eateries offering fresh local produce and the 'catch of the day'.
