This historic, lovingly restored Devonian beauty lies just minutes from Croyde beach, sleeps up to nine lucky people and boasts a stunning hot rock sauna, idyllic garden and all the charm you would expect from a 17th Century former farmhouse.

Dating back to 1675, Mill Farm is an extraordinary holiday home nestled on Devon's lovely north coast in the seaside village of Croyde. Step inside this charming, whitewashed home and you'll discover gorgeous original features such as beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplaces and exposed stone walls full of character, effortlessly feathered with all the modern trimmings needed to make your stay oh-co-comfortable. One of our pet-free homes, Mill Farm has four pretty bedrooms, characterful living spaces with wood-burners, a large garden with its own stream running through it, and a surprise up its sleeve - a luxurious hot rock sauna! Perfectly located to enjoy the beach and coastline of Croyde, this is an excellent choice for when you just want to leave the car at home.

Step through the front door and make a right up a couple of steps to find the cosy sitting-room, resplendent with original features such as the beamed ceiling, stone fireplace and characterful whitewashed walls. Blessed with a wood-burner to make things extra snug on colder days after a blustery coastal walk, there's plenty of seating on the three plush sofas to curl up on, while a Smart TV is on hand when a film night calls. To the left of the front door lies the dining-room which embraces its origins as a traditional farmhouse with original beamed ceiling and exposed stone walls. A Welsh dresser, well-scrubbed wooden table for up to nine people and a large inglenook fireplace with a wood-burner completes the room, making it the perfect setting for family meals together and late-night games. Next door, the large farmhouse kitchen with stone flooring, marble worktops, a Belfast sink and breakfast-bar with four stools, has everything you'll need for cooking, including a double oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and all the essential kitchen equipment. In addition, there's a washing machine and tumble-drier. The final space here is a homely snug with sofa, armchair and Smart TV - ideal for those seeking a quiet corner to curl up with a book.

The bedrooms can be found on the first floor. Each uniquely decorated, the spacious principal bedroom has a double bed, sofa, wardrobe, desk and pretty window seats. The second bedroom is also a double, with the third a twin bedroom and the fourth offers bunk-beds and a pull-out trundle bed, perfect for little ones. A travel cot is provided should you need it (please bring your own bedding). Please note that Mill Farm has feather bedding.

For bathing, there are two bathrooms on the first floor, one with a shower overhead. Downstairs, there's a WC and a separate wet-room with two rainfall showers. Here, behind wooden doors, you'll also find the incredible hot rock sauna, perfect for loosening tight muscles after a day hiking or surfing.

Outside, you'll find a private driveway for up to three vehicles. To the back, there's a spacious terrace with a table, chairs and a barbecue for al fresco meals, plus storage for wetsuits, surfboards and a bike rack. To the front, there's a lawned area plus a raised section with a further table and chairs. A pretty stream runs between the drive and Mill Farm, so please be aware that children should be supervised at all times.

Mill Farm lies in the beautiful village of Croyde on Devon's north coast. Just a five minute stroll to the village centre and a 20 minute amble to the beach, everything is at hand so you needn't step in a car if you don't want to. A hot spot for surfers, Croyde is ideal for beginners and pros alike, with surf schools nearby for lessons. Alternatively, the gorgeous sandy beach - backed by rolling dunes - awaits for games, rock pooling, picnics and kite flying. Meanwhile, Baggy Point, Saunton Down and the coastal path offers fantastic walking opportunities.
