Situated within the southern neolithic ring of Knowlton Church and Earthworks and perfectly positioned under a Dark Sky Reserve, is The Old Dairy; a stylish and modern conversion that retains wonderful original features.

Stepping into the cottage you are met with a wonderfully spacious room encompassing the kitchen, dining-area and living space. Sumptuous furniture and high-quality finishes make this retreat a truly relaxing place to stay. Tucked away in the corner is a roaring wood-burner, making The Old Dairy ideal, even in the colder months.

From the dining-area there are patio doors out onto your enclosed courtyard, which is south-west facing, so you will be able to sit out with a glass of fizz and watch the sun set over the countryside. You are sure to be delighted with the well-equipped kitchen and as it is open plan, it lends itself perfectly to spending holiday time in together.

As this property is all on one level, it flows effortlessly from room to room and the two gorgeous bedrooms are positioned at either end, which gives a great level of privacy. Both bedrooms have their own en suites. The icing on the cake of the main bedroom is the glorious roll-top bath, situated in front of the patio doors; enjoy a long soak with the doors open onto your private courtyard.

Whether you are a couple looking for a bit of extra space, a group of two couples or a family, The Old Dairy is sure to meet your needs. Did we mention two of your four-legged friends can join you too? They're sure to enjoy the endless countryside walks available from the door.

The Old Dairy is situated on a working goat farm and is one of four converted farm buildings, tucked away in a gated courtyard. The owners live in the original farmhouse and are on hand should you need them. You will be able to see the comings and goings of the animals and possibly some farm vehicles but you are assured of the utmost privacy. There is ample parking just outside your front door.

Knowlton Church and Earthworks is considered one of the most significant pre-historic sites in Britain and it is just on your doorstep. The renovations of the farm buildings took place under the watchful eyes of English Heritage and archaeologists and any findings were preserved. The area is excellent for astrophotography and in 2023 the Aurora Borealis was visible over the Church.

A short drive away is the market town of Wimborne Minster, sitting on the bank of the rivers Stour and Allen. It is a lovely place to spend the day enjoying a picnic on the riverside, hiring a boat or having a wander around the independent shops and eateries. The soft, golden sands and glistening waters of the Sandbanks and Bournemouth beaches are easily accessible, as is the National Trust country mansion at Kingston Lacy. As The Old Dairy is situated in the Cranborne Chase National Landscape, you have hundreds of acres of countryside surrounding you, which you can take time to explore (perhaps stopping at a local pub on your travels!).
