Escape for the summer to this fabulous, detached holiday home in the stylish seaside village of Milford on Sea. Just a 10 minute walk to the beach, with superb views across to The Needles on the Isle of Wight, it is close to the border of the New Forest National Park.

This very spacious family home has six bedrooms and six bath/shower-rooms. The magnificent open plan interior has folding glass doors onto the terrace, which can be completely opened to allow the outside in; a wonderful space for creating holiday memories.

The terrace looks over the enclosed garden, so you can keep an eye on little ones and your dog while you relax and take in the tranquility of this delightful location. Having both a sitting-room and children's playroom, with TV/DVD player and Xbox 360, allows for all the family to have space and fun.

The driveway to Ridge House is shared with Little Ridge; Little Ridge is let separately and is located to the side of the house, with its own patio/enclosed garden.

Ridge House is on a quiet lane, just a five minute walk from the village where you will find a fantastic choice of restaurants, a quirky wine and gin bar, a craft beer bar, two good pubs, tea shops, two gift shops, a bakery and a traditional grocer, butcher and newsagent.

A 10 minute walk will take you to the beach or there is plenty of parking if you have a car full of beach toys. A paddle board shop in Keyhaven offers instruction, if you are tempted to try stand up paddle boarding or kayaking for the first time.

There is a great walk along the shingle spit to Hurst Castle but if you are not feeling energetic, take the ferry boat from Keyhaven. For a flat stroll, visit the salt marshes that stretch as far as Lymington, home to some great bird life. New Forest National Park has so much to offer; miles of cycle tracks and paths that will take you through ancient woodland, across open heathland and you are guaranteed to come across New Forest ponies and cattle, which roam freely within the forest boundaries.

The Georgian town of Lymington has a great atmosphere; stroll down to the quay and watch the boats or experience a fun day at the sea water baths, the oldest lido in the country with inflatable obstacle course and kayaks or take a day trip on the Isle of Wight ferry to Yarmouth. Lymington has a Saturday market which runs the length of the High Street, a must to pick up delicious local produce and holiday mementos. Beaulieu Motor Museum has a unique collection of more than 250 cars and Exbury Gardens are well worth a visit.

If you are happy to travel a little further for a day out, you are only one hour from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, which stretches from Old Harry Rocks at Studland all the way down the coast towards Exmouth in east Devon.
