Decorated in calming blue hues, the cosy sofa invites you to snuggle up in front of the log-burner and relax into your holiday. With an abundance of fresh local produce to buy at local roadside stalls and farm shops, cook up a Devon delight in the well-equipped kitchen or sit at the breakfast-bar and chat about your day ahead. The fabulous bedroom with super-king size bed and luxury linens is an oasis of calm and the perfect place to relax and re-charge. The sleek shower-room has a fabulous walk-in shower and under-floor heating, perfect for chillier mornings. With everything conveniently on one level, The Nest is a dreamy getaway, ideal for short breaks or a week away.
The friendly owners live next door, perfectly situated should you have any questions but allowing you all the privacy you require. Outside to the front of the property you will find a small patio, and to the rear a small grassed area, the perfect place to sit and gaze over the surrounding countryside, ideal for morning coffee or evening aperitif.
Situated in the heart of the countryside you may encounter country life and with the owners' chooks being your next door neighbours you will always have a friend. You enter and leave via the yard and surrounding lanes however this adds to the charm of The Nest and the true rural experience. This really is a little gem you will want to return to year after year!
The quaint market town of South Molton is nearby and offers a lovely collection of quirky independent shops and cafes. Don't miss the twice weekly panier market (Thursdays and Saturdays) where you can stock up on holiday provisions. If you are looking for more retail therapy, the larger towns of Barnstaple and Bideford area a short drive away.
Just 40 minutes drive away the delights of the north Devon coast await with miles of dramatic coastal walks, hidden coves and sandy beaches all waiting to be discovered. For beach lovers, Braunton Sands beckons or perhaps the cute villages of Appledore and Instow where a seasonal passenger ferry crosses the picturesque estuary. For walkers and cyclists, the wilds of Exmoor is calling, with miles of unspoilt moorland criss-crossed by trails and footpaths. However you plan to spend your time, you are assured of a peaceful and relaxing time at any time of year.
