The Old Stables has been beautifully converted and is a great base for visiting the Goodwood Estate, the city of Chichester, the beautiful village of Bosham and Emsworth with its pretty quay.

The property has retained many original features including beams and an original barn door. It boasts a spacious open plan living-room, a king-size double bedroom and shower-room.

The accommodation has been thoughtfully designed and has a gorgeous kitchen with everything you need to cook that special meal.

Enjoy the warmth of the under-floor heating or for those chilly evenings take advantage of the lovely wood-burner and relax whilst you read your favourite book, watch a movie or plan your next adventure. Double doors from the living area open onto the patio so during the warmer months you can curl up on the sofa and listen to the birdsong or sit in the garden to catch the afternoon sun.

The bedroom with a Scandinavian-style king-size bed is a relaxing haven and the perfect place to unwind after a busy day touring the Sussex and Hampshire countryside. There is a shower-room next door.

The Old Stables is situated south of the A259 and set back from the lane next to the owners' house but is not overlooked. There is parking outside the property for one car and additional parking available next to the owners' house including a locked barn which is perfect for classic cars. Parking for classic cars is available by prior arrangement, so please request at time of booking.

A short walk up the lane takes you to a footpath which goes to the foreshore (Nutbourne shores) overlooking Chichester Harbour (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) with walks to Prinsted and Chidham. This lovely walk is favoured by walkers and wildlife enthusiasts.

For fresh local produce visit the farm shop in Southbourne or for a spot of retail therapy or even a theatre trip visit the Cathedral City of Chichester which offers excellent high street shopping. Emsworth also has a good range of local shops as well as its quay, fronting the head of Chichester harbour where you can enjoy many harbourside walks and other coastal activities.

The Goodwood Estate is renowned for its horseracing and motor sports and has events throughout the year. Enjoy a day at the Fishbourne Roman Palace, Nutbourne Vineyard with its award-winning wines or the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. Relax on the beautiful beaches of West Wittering or Hayling Island.

A short drive away is the beautiful stunning scenery of the South Downs National Park offering access to the South Downs Way which is popular with walkers, cyclists and many other outdoor pursuits.

Southbourne and Nutbourne railway stations, and the main bus route, are both with easy reach providing links to Chichester, Portsmouth and further afield.
