This gorgeous barn sits in the heart of the South Downs National Park providing an excellent base for all types of rural pursuits and is perfectly positioned for visiting the towns of Midhurst, Petersfield, the coast and events at Goodwood and Cowdray Park.

Beacon Hill Barn is named after Beacon Hill which sits just above the property that forms the highest point of the hills and offers superb far-reaching views. With direct access to the South Downs Way, you will find a plethora of footpaths and trails to explore making this area popular with walkers and mountain bikers (overnight cover and secure storage for bikes is available).

The barn is brand new and has been beautifully crafted with luxury and comfort in mind. The main door takes you into a small hallway with space for coats, boots and shoes. You then enter a gorgeous open plan living area which boasts high ceilings and has the most mesmerising views of the surrounding countryside.

The living-room features sumptuous furnishings, a Smart TV and a cosy wood-burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a culinary feast. After supper, play board games, watch a movie or relax reading your favourite novel.

When the time comes to turn in for the night, there are spiral stairs that lead to the mezzanine with twin beds. The main bedroom is on the ground floor and features a 'zip and link' king-size bed which can also be made up as twins if preferred, a Smart TV and door to the bathroom (also accessed from the living-room). Double doors from the main bedroom and living area open onto the patio and private garden. It's a great place to enjoy a morning coffee or watch the fantastic sunsets that dominate the landscape during the summer months.

The garden is surrounded by paddocks and fields home to an abundance of wildlife. You may be lucky to spot deer, buzzards, ravens, red kites, the owner's sheep or Maggie the Shetland pony.

If you like tennis don't forget to pack your tennis rackets as within the grounds is a tennis court which can be pre-booked with the friendly owners who live in the neighbouring property.

The barn has ample gated parking so ideal for guests attending car rallies at Goodwood.

Babes in arms up to six months old are welcome.

The nearby village has a well-stocked shop, La Follia Italian cafe and Post Office. There are also two pubs within walking distance, The White Hart in South Harting and The Three Horseshoes a quaint pub with incredible views. Visit the historic town of Midhurst which offers a range of facilities including Cowdray Farm Shop, Golf Club and of course Cowdray Polo, home to the Gold Cup. You also have Goodwood which holds many events throughout the year including the Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood and Goodwood Revival.

Visit Petersfield a bustling town which has a range of amenities including a Waitrose, Tesco, M&S Food, cafes and several boutiques and independent shops. It also has a train station with a direct service to London Waterloo and Portsmouth, a great city with its historic dockyard and home to HMS Victory and HMS Mary Rose.

Sussex and Hampshire are blessed with many historic houses and gardens to visit including Jane Austen's House Museum, Petworth House which is nestled in a 700 acre deer park, Uppark House and Garden, Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Staunton Country Park, Amberley and Arundel Castles, Chichester Cathedral, Stansted House, West Dean and Woolbeding Gardens.

Visit Sky Park Farm, a working deer farm (tours possible) and amazing farm shop and restaurant. The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Tangmere Military Aviation Museum, Pallant House Gallery, Chichester Cathedral, Fishbourne Roman Palace, the South Downs Planetarium or the Chichester Festival Theatre for world class productions are all worth exploring.

Take a trip to the coast, Chichester Harbour, Bosham and Emsworth offer sailing opportunities. For trout fishing there is the River Rother, Meon Springs and Dunction. Or for a day at the beach visit West Wittering, Selsey or Bracklesham Bay.
