Sometimes, you just need to escape from it all and find that special place.

Positioned at the foot of Haytor, with breathtaking panoramic views of Dartmoor National Park, Room With A View is just such a place. This off-grid cabin nestled in a quiet corner of the owners' working farm has a wild beauty and calming tranquility and is a million miles from the mania of modern-day living, providing the perfect tonic from life's stresses and strains.

The cabin is a comfortable and simple subsistence with just the right amount of creature comforts; a warming wood-burning stove, hot shower and comfy bed. The kitchen provides gas cooking with a grill, and a fridge with ice box, however, as the property is off-grid, there's no microwave or toaster. Bottled water for drinking is provided.

Outside, relax on the deck with a glass of wine, taking in the spellbinding beauty you can only find on Dartmoor and listen to the embers crackle on dark nights with the warmth of the fire-pit. The enclosed garden is the perfect place to let your dog off the lead or simply sit back and enjoy the spectacular views.

This truly wild retreat is a wonderful relaxing escape. Although remote, it's less than two miles from the famous Widecombe in the Moor, where you'll find charming shops to browse and an idyllic place to stop for lunch, and don't forget the local craft fair and market days during the season.

The ancient stannary town of Ashburton and Bovey Tracey known as ‘The Gateway to Dartmoor' are less than eight miles away.
