The Shippon has direct access to the moor, so you can leave your car behind and step out in to some of the most spectacular scenery that Dartmoor has to offer. Breakfast on the rocks above you, picnic by the River Dart below, watch the sun set across a vast horizon, before returning home and snuggling up in front of the wood-burner or enjoying the wonderful evening views from the comfort of your own private garden.

Everything about your stay at The Shippon at Oldsbrim is hassle-free and whilst you're secluded, you're not completely isolated. Alternatively, if you would like a drive across the top of the moor, Tavistock is a wonderful place to explore with its own Pannier Market.

With uninterrupted views and incredible scenery of the surrounding tors, you will feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. However, should it be activity that you're seeking, The Shippon can also provide secure and dry storage for keen canoeists and mountain bikers.

The River Dart Country Park is only a short car journey away, as is Two Bridges, Postbridge and historic Widecombe in the Moor.
