This fabulous retreat is located in the grounds of the four star Budock Vean Hotel and is named after the romantic novel by Daphne Du Maurier.

With stunning views across the 9 hole/18 tee golf course, surrounded by mature parkland this really is a dreamy location. This is a boutique-style holiday home in every sense of the word; self-catering independence with all the benefits of staying at a four star hotel. Furnished to the highest standard to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay.

On the ground floor you will find two bedrooms, both with super-king 'zip and link' beds, with views over the golf course. Of course, they both have their own en suite facilities too.

The light and open living space is on the first floor with far-reaching views down the wooded valley and the little balcony is the ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee whilst waiting for the day to begin. No detail has been forgotten from the comfortable sofas and cosy wood-burner to the all-important wine fridge.

The main bedroom can be found on the second floor on a mezzanine level so it is light, bright and open and has the most amazing views you can enjoy from your bed. This bedroom has a 'zip and link' super-king bed, as well as its own shower-room, plus there's a dressing-room which has a single bed and trundle bed (both 2'6'' and recommended for children only).

Guests at Frenchman's Creek guests can enjoy all the benefits of free golf club membership during their stay, use of the indoor swimming pool, sauna, outdoor hot tub and tennis courts as well as discounts for the restaurant. Plus there are boat trips and guided kayak and paddleboard adventures from the hotel's private cove which you have access to via a lovely walk through the valley gardens down to the riverside. For an extra treat why not book a treatment in the hotel's Natural Health Spa? There are also electric car charging points in the main car park which are free to use for the residents of the hotel and on-site accommodation on a first come first served basis (two Tesla and three standard charging points).

This beautiful area of the Helford River has so much to offer right on your doorstep including the fabulous gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan and you can find kayaking, fishing and boat trips all from the hotel's private foreshore. Take the ferry across the river, have lunch in a waterside pub, take a walk along the coast path - you could even walk to Falmouth and catch the bus back. There are also many circular walks to the neighbouring villages of Port Navas and Constantine. With 24 hours' notice the hotel can arrange a picnic basket full of tasty treats for you to take with you.

The pretty village of Mawnan Smith includes a traditional thatched public house, a local shop with Post Office and the Cornish Maid cafe. When you want a bit more choice, and perhaps a bit of retail therapy, you can be in the maritime town of Falmouth in 15 minutes or the Cathedral City of Truro in 30 minutes.

If you wish to holiday with extended family or friends, there are two other lovely properties within the grounds; August Rock (3355) and Grebe (3356).
