Super-kingSet in a secluded woodland corner of a country house estate – the Budock Vean Hotel – and with wonderful views across the hotel grounds and gardens, this fabulous detached retreat has so much to offer for a holiday at any time of the year.
Furnished to a high standard throughout, equipped with under-floor heating, WiFi, Smart TV and the most comfortable high-quality beds, this is a boutique-style holiday home in every sense of the word; self-catering independence with all the benefits of staying at a four star hotel. Guests can enjoy all the benefits of free golf club membership during their stay, use of the indoor swimming pool, sauna, outdoor hot tub and tennis courts as well as discounts for the restaurant.
For an extra treat why not book a treatment in the hotel's Natural Health Spa?
August Rock is a familiar name to ancient mariners navigating the rocky shores around this rugged area of coast which is wonderful to explore. There is such variety in this part of the coastline with the pretty and gently flowing Helford River on your doorstep.
The fabulous gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan are worth a visit and you can find kayaking, paddle-boarding and boat trips all from the hotel's private foreshore. Take the ferry across the river, have lunch in a waterside pub, take a walk along the coast path - you could even walk to Falmouth and catch the bus back. There are also many circular walks to the neighbouring villages of Port Navas and Constantine. With 24 hours' notice the hotel can arrange a picnic basket full of tasty treats for you to take with you.
The pretty village of Mawnan Smith includes a traditional thatched public house and a local shop. When you want a bit more choice, and perhaps a bit of retail therapy, you can be in the maritime town of Falmouth in 15 minutes or the Cathedral City of Truro in 30 minutes.
If you wish to holiday with extended family or friends, there are two other lovely properties within the grounds; Frenchman's Creek (3344) and Grebe (3356).
