Beacon Top Bottom
2523 is no longer with usIf you were looking for cottages like Beacon Top Bottom, how about trying these:
A cosy bolthole with far reaching views, just a 20 minute walk from the trendy St Agnes and a little over a mile from two of the area’s most stunning coves — Chapel Porth and Trevaunance Cove. The dark skies and tranquility of this location ensures a truly restful stay.
Follow the path from the car parking space (about 50 meters away) and up the beautiful granite steps which lead up to the entrance. Receive a whole-hearted welcome when you open the door into the cosy open plan living-space; warmed by a wood-burner and styled with vintage, eclectic fabrics and furnishings. Snuggle up on the sofa for two or enjoy slow brunches at the dining-table. The upside down living really makes the most of the far-reaching views across fields and countryside, you might also spy a chough or two in the fields which are part of the owners' organic smallholding where they produce their own vegetables, fruit and organic goats' milk (you may see the owners at work while you enjoy your morning coffee).
There is a simple kitchen-area with a hob and combination microwave but with so many fabulous eateries only a short distance away you might not even find yourself cooking on your holiday. From the first floor you have far-reaching views across fields and countryside, you might also spy a chough or two in the fields which are part of the owners' organic smallholding where they produce their own vegetables, fruit and organic goats' milk (you may see the owners at work while you enjoy your morning coffee).
Heading downstairs, on the ground floor is the charming bedroom and shower-room. The bedroom has such a snug feel with a charming vintage bedframe with a top quality mattress, heavy quilts and warming hues for a peaceful night's slumber. The shower-room has a large walk-in shower which is perfect for a refreshing yourself after a day exploring the coast path. Open the stable-door out to a sheltered patio (which is fully enclosed and dog escape proof) with a sitting-area covered with a glass roof. The perfect spot to put your feet up with a refreshing beer on the deck chair at the end of the day.
Beacon Top Bottom has its own parking space and you find this lovely property along the path about 50 metres away from the space and up the external granite stairs – it already feels like an adventure.
