Bramley Lodge has an open plan design that's bright and welcoming and features a fully equipped kitchen, living and bedroom areas with a separate shower-room. There is under-floor heating throughout to ensure you're cosy at any time of the year. Sliding doors open to the outside, a nice spot for al fresco dining whilst taking in the sounds of nature. You may be lucky to spot deer, rabbits, foxes, birds or badgers that frequently visit.
Don't forget to pack hiking boots or a bicycle and explore the endless walking trails and cycle routes before finishing with a meal and your favourite tipple at one of the nearby pubs, The Gun, The Six Bells or the local tap room; The Gun Brewery.
The owners live nearby and have a friendly dog Julio, a border terrier, who may pop and say hello.
Visit the nearby Farleys House and Gallery which provides visitors a glimpse into the lives of former occupants Lee Miller and Roland Penrose.
The market towns of Heathfield and Hailsham are a short drive away and have several supermarkets including a Waitrose, independent shops, pubs and restaurants. There is also Lewes known for its annual bonfire celebrations and array of antiques and book shops.
Explore the Sussex coast perhaps the Cuckmere Haven, Eastbourne, Hastings, Pevensey Bay, Birling Gap or a little further afield, Brighton or Camber Sands. Eastbourne's Sovereign Harbour is a lovely place to watch the boats, enjoy a meal, or take a boat trip to see the iconic cliffs at Beachy Head.
