DoubleTucked away just behind the iconic promenade in Penzance and mere moments from the Jubilee Pool and the sparkling sea beyond, 14 Regent Terrace is a restored two bedroom traditional basement apartment which offers the perfect blend of period charm and modern comfort with sea views from its communal garden.
This row of grand Regency terraced houses was constructed in the early 19th Century and our apartment is snuggled in amongst others that stand proud overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Step through the original double doors into the spacious, contemporary kitchen and dining-area, fully equipped for leisurely breakfasts or candlelit suppers. The generously sized sitting-room with period features invites you to relax in comfort, throw open an identical set of original double doors which lead onto two sweet courtyards either side, be careful on the steps as they are slightly uneven and do not have a handrail. The upper lawned garden is for communal use, shared with the apartments above and is the perfect spot to relax reading a book in the sunshine. 14 Regent Terrace is a home that embraces coastal living, so very close to the sea yet set back in a tranquil spot.
The apartment has two bedrooms, a double and a larger 'zip and link' king-size (which can be configured as twins if needed), ideal for families, couples or friends. A large family bathroom with its period furnishings sits between the two with bath and overhead shower. One dog is also most welcome so your four-legged friend can enjoy the Cornish coast right alongside you.
An added bonus is the private parking space at your disposal, making exploring further afield a breeze.
From this lovely home you are just moments from the heart of historic Penzance, visit the independent shops, galleries and cafes. Walk across to the promenade to the Art Deco Jubilee Pool, a stunning sea water lido perfect for your morning dip.
The harbour town of Newlyn is a scenic stroll away famed for its fishing heritage, seafood restaurants and vibrant arts scene. Take a short drive or hop on the bus to Mousehole, a picturesque fishing village with narrow lanes and a charming harbour, reserve a table at the renowned 2 Fore Street for lunch, the local scallops are a favourite. Head east to Marazion to explore the magical island castle, St Michael's Mount, steeped in history.
Of course, no trip to west Cornwall would be complete without a day out in St Ives, with its world famous beaches, The Tate gallery and bustling cobbled streets and natural light that draws so many artists to the area. With turquoise waters, perfect for beach days, pack a picnic and soak up the Cornish sunshine.
