Perfectly positioned overlooking the picturesque harbour of St Mawes, Quayside is a beautifully furnished holiday cottage, ideal for a romantic escape or small family holiday.

From the moment you arrive here you will be charmed, not only by the fabulous location but also the beautiful interiors where tradition marries style in perfect harmony.

The open plan living space is perfect for all seasons, from opening the front stable-door to let in the fresh sea breeze in summer, to snuggling up in front of the wood-burner in cooler months. Whitewashed walls and seaside shades create a light and welcoming space complemented by reclaimed wooden floors (ideal if you have your four-legged friend with you). To the rear, the kitchen and dining area is light and bright, cleverly crafted with everything you'll need including the all-important dishwasher and washing machine/drier. Whilst there is no rear outside space at Quayside, you can open the top stable-door at the back if you wish to let in the fresh air, and with walks, beaches and the harbour all close by there are plenty of options when it comes to spending relaxing time outdoors.

As is typical for characterful Cornish cottages, the staircase is turning and steep, and leads to the two pretty bedrooms and family shower-room. The main double bedroom is found to the front of the cottage, furnished in relaxing neutral shades with sash windows overlooking the bay. From dawn until dusk this ever-changing view will enchant! The single bedroom to the rear of the cottage has its own vanity unit basin and is great for either a child or adult. The shower-room is ideal after a busy day exploring.

You simply couldn't be better placed in St Mawes, with the local shops and eateries all a short stroll away. Head to Da Bara Bakery in the morning for your freshly baked bread, cakes, pastries and excellent coffee or perhaps pick up a sandwich lunch and take a picnic to the beach. For fine dining try the Hotel Tresanton, a really rather special hotel designed by Olga Polizzi, or just enjoy fish and chips from the paper on the harbour wall watching the boats bob on the water, there are plenty of choices.

Water sports lovers can hire a kayak or paddle board from the harbour and seek out the sheltered coves and inlets around the coast or just sit on the beach and take in the views - the perfect holiday pastime. A passenger ferry sails across the Carrick Roads to Falmouth where you will find a great selection of eclectic shops and eateries and an excellent maritime museum. From Easter until October a smaller ferry also runs to Place, a gorgeous tranquil creek with easy access onto the coast path. Of course you can always start your walk from your door; St Mawes is a great place for walkers looking to explore the coast.

With all you need on the doorstep, St Mawes is an ideal holiday location for a car-free getaway. If you do decide to explore further afield, a myriad of magical gardens are a drive away including Trelissick, Durgan, Trebah and the Eden Project, home to the iconic biomes. Closer to home the unspoilt village of Portscatho is worth a look and whilst you are there visit Pendower Farm Shop to stock up on the best local produce including freshly caught fish, home-grown meats, dairy and baked goods.

However you decide to spend your days, Quayside has all you need for a fabulous getaway.
