Lydia Paleschi

Lydia Paleschi is a writer based in Falmouth, where she grew up. Despite travelling far and wide, it’s still Cornwall that Lydia calls home and her love for her the region only continues to grow the more time she spends there. Lydia has a close connection to the ocean, spending her free time sailing the Cornish coast and further afield. Her longest sailing trip took her across the Atlantic and through the Panama Canal to Pacific Costa Rica. Lydia's other hobbies include wild swimming, which led to her publishing her book A Guide to Wild Swimming in Cornwall to encourage others to enjoy spending time next to the sea. In between her ocean adventures, Lydia explores the country in her van, with recent trips planned to Pembrokeshire and the Lake District. According to Lydia, the UK is an underrated destination – and she feels privileged to have easy access to its landscapes, coastline and fascinating history and culture.
