Reputed to be one of the sunniest places on the Island and just a short stroll from Ramsey town centre, the beach here is flat and sandy, ideal for families and sailing. The Island's largest river, the Sulby meets the sea here in between two stone piers and the nearby harbour is still working so visitors can watch the ships come and go. A promenade runs the length of the beach and the town has a good selection of cafes and restaurants. There is no lifeguard service here and local dog restrictions apply.
